Why I Wrote Powerful Christian Prayers for Addiction Recovery and Freedom

Recovery is hard — not just during the dramatic moments, but during the quiet, everyday hours when you’re simply trying to make it through one more sober day. Some days you’re fighting cravings. Some days you’re carrying shame. Some days you’re rebuilding trust or starting over from scratch. I wrote Powerful Christian Prayers for Addiction Recovery and Freedom for all of those days.

I don’t write as a pastor, counselor, or addiction expert. I write as someone who lived more than fifteen years in active addiction — someone who lost everything, hit rock bottom, and found a new life through faith, recovery, and daily surrender to God.

This book was created to be a daily lifeline. Inside it, you’ll find:

  • Christian devotions for real recovery struggles
  • Honest stories from my own journey
  • Scripture for strength and guidance
  • A prayer for the days when you’re struggling
  • A prayer of gratitude for the days you stand strong
  • Reflection questions to help you grow one day at a time

You can read the book from beginning to end or open directly to the chapter you need today. The prayers and devotionals stand on their own — even if you skip the personal stories.

My hope is simple: that this book becomes a companion on your recovery journey. A reminder that you are not beyond God’s reach. That freedom is possible. One day at a time.

If you’re struggling today, I want you to know this: recovery doesn’t require you to have your whole future figured out. It only asks for today — one step of honesty, one prayer of surrender, one moment of hope.

You are not alone.

You can rebuild.

And God can meet you right where you are.
